Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the production department supporting the engineering and assembly teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Dothan, AL

Pay Range: Depending on Experience

What's the Job?

• Fit and assemble machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures.
• Provide engineering with input on new machine designs and assist in the assembly of the machines.
• Maintain production machines in proper working order and retrofit any new design changes as necessary.
• Assist in the development of prototype products and samples for customer evaluation.
• Inspect own work and adhere to required process and quality standards.

What's Needed?

• High School Degree or equivalent; trade school diploma or apprenticeship preferred.
• 1 – 8 years of related work experience on CNC equipment such as mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills and print reading capability.
• Familiarity with using micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to provide setup guidance and coaching to less experienced machining personnel.
