An infusion pharmacy located in Richmond, TX, seeks an experienced IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations. This full-time contract role offers a 13-week duration with possible contract-to-hire or direct hire opportunities. The position requires a strong focus on sterile compounding and maintaining cleanroom standards in line with USP 797 guidelines. Schedule and Work Hours: Monday through Friday, day shift On-call rotation every 5th to 6th weekend (Saturdays) Key Responsibilities: Prepare sterile compounds, including IV TPN, IV admixtures, and other aseptic preparations with precision and adherence to USP 797 cleanroom guidelines Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in the pharmacy cleanroom Restock sterile compound supplies and fluids as necessary Monitor and log daily cleanroom environmental conditions such as temperature, pressure, and humidity Perform daily and monthly deep cleaning of the cleanroom, including walls and ceiling Conduct monthly sampling tests under pharmacist supervision to ensure quality and safety standards Assist with data entry, patient interaction, phone support, and packaging of deliveries as needed Qualifications and Experience: TX Pharmacy Technician License and IV Certification required PTCB national certification preferred Minimum 2 years of strong sterile compounding and IV admixture experience Experience working with inotropic medications, antibiotics, and TPNs (no chemotherapy compounds) Demonstrated ability to lead within the cleanroom environment Work Environment: Detail-oriented, quality-driven culture with an emphasis on precision and performance Stable and process-focused operations supporting teamwork and fairness This role offers excellent exposure in a supportive healthcare setting, ideal for candidates committed to sterile compounding excellence.
