Job Description

An incredible opportunity awaits you to join our International Development Assistance Services Institute as a Manager! In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of global development. You will track and identify major international development initiatives, seize new opportunities, and provide strategic leadership to teams working on impactful projects with multi-lateral development banks (MDBs) and renowned international organizations. Key Responsibilities:

Track and monitor major international initiatives across various development sectors and collaborate with international teams to identify and secure major client opportunities related to these initiatives.

Provide technical and strategic guidance in the preparation of proposals and the execution of projects focused on international development issues.

Develop and implement strategies and business plans for key clients in the international development sector, fostering collaboration across service lines and assembling multi-disciplinary teams.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the international development community.

Contribute to thought leadership development on international development issues, enhancing the organization’s brand and positioning with key international development organizations.

Advise senior leadership on the organization’s role and positioning in international forums related to global development.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the international development sector, with a background working with global development organizations or consultancies.

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., International Development, Economics, Public Policy, or similar).

Relevant professional certifications or licenses such as CPA, J.D., LL.M., MBA, MDS, MPP, or other advanced qualifications in international development, economics, public health, or related fields are highly desirable.

Significant experience working directly with multi-lateral development banks (MDBs), bilateral development agencies, or climate-focused international organizations is essential. A thorough understanding of global development, climate, and environmental financing is preferred.

Proven experience in leading major proposals and projects within the development sector across different country environments.

Strong experience in team leadership, especially in developing countries, with preference for candidates who are fluent in a foreign language or have lived/worked in developing regions.

Additional Preferred Experience:

Strong knowledge of development sector processes, business models, and the international climate finance landscape.

Proven track record in developing strategic business plans and facilitating multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Ability to effectively navigate complex organizational structures and provide high-level leadership and advice.
