The internship is UNPAID and full-time. The duration of an internship is six months. Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under Responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Provide support for computer information systems, website and applications; • Install computer application systems software and hardware; • Perform troubleshooting for various applications; • Assistance IT projects and conferences; • Administrative support Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in English is required for the internship programme. Additional InformationVisa and Work Authorization Mandatory Requirements: For internships in the United States of America, persons who are not United States citizens, permanent residents or on another non-immigrant (such as F1 or J1 visa) status, will be required to obtain a G4 visa. The selected person will be responsible for ensuring that they have a valid visa, and approved employment authorization (CPT/OPT/AT), allowing them to undertake the internship. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
