Essential Functions


The Educational Leadership Department (EDL) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a part-time instructor position to start August 2025. We seek candidates passionate about high quality scholarship, teaching, and service in educational leadership.

The Department of Educational Leadership offers masters, specialist, and doctoral programs that also lead to certification in school leadership, including principal, special education director, and superintendent.

Duties include teaching superintendent preparation graduate courses; supervising fieldwork and internship experiences; collaborating with community and school district partners; and service activities at the program, department, college, university, and professional levels.

Required Qualifications


An earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or closely related field and successful employment as school district superintendent.

Successful candidate must have content and working knowledge of the Professional Standards of Educational Leaders (PSELs) and evidence of ability to engage in professional service.

Preferred Qualifications


Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience at multiple levels of educational leadership; evidence of educational leadership network; knowledge of Omaha area and MOEC districts; successful experience working with educators and community partners, school boards, and elected officials; and demonstrated teaching skill with potential for working with graduate students.
