The Instructional Designer designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences. This position will consult with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Supports training utilization and effectiveness strategies by maintaining web-based platforms used by the training department, while working as one professional team delivering quality solutions to every customer.

Pay Rate: $61,665.61-$84,845.04 annually.

Pay is based upon education and experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Authors online courses that represent the company's values, goals, and brand
  • Adapts eligible instructor led training for asynchronous online learning under the guidance of the training manager
  • Collaborates with marketing and other departments to maintain the Wagner Training Institute's (WTI) web-based resources, including file sharing and websites
  • Supports the optimization of LMS architecture and administration
  • Recognizes, understands, and utilizes adult-learning theory
  • Coordinates curation, selection, and scheduling of training assignments with department managers and employees, particularly for new hires
  • Markets WTI live classes/virtual courses internally by sharing relevant class offering information to all employees
  • Conducts training needs assessments and identifies skill for development and existing knowledge gaps
  • Reviews outside training programs and evaluates them for company use
  • Assesses the effectiveness of training through aggregated employee performance data, feedback from participants, and their supervisors
  • Organizes and coordinates various training events
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a training related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a training and development position
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience
  • 3-5 years training program management experience
  • 3-5 years classroom management experience

Work Environment:

  • Noise: Quiet
  • Indoors

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25%
