Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems for a wide range of facilities including office buildings, schools, healthcare centers, and industrial sites across the Valley.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver with solid HVAC knowledge, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and chillers.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace and repair components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, relays, and capacitors.
• Accurately document service calls, findings, recommendations, and work performed.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to provide status updates and service recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle, tools, and job site.
• Ensure safety procedures and local HVAC codes are followed on all jobs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required; Arizona HVAC license or registration preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with digital tools and mobile field service applications.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel locally across the Phoenix metro area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building automation systems (e.g., Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Experience working on chilled water systems, boilers, or variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.
