Full job description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team. This position requires a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and the ability to operate different types of trucks and heavy equipment. You will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials to various locations, while driving a company vehicle, safely, responsibly ensuring timely, efficient and profitable delivery.
Essential Duties:
- Safely operate trucks, tractor-trailers
- Load/unload equipment and materials, as needed, assist crews with site duties
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
- Communicate with Supervisors and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation guidelines
- Immediately report accidents
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Ability to operate heavy equipment to load and unload
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to interact with Supervisor, customers, and coworkers
