Description:

Frac Operators are responsible for assisting in hydraulic fracturing operations and managing the flowback of fluids from wells. They ensure safe and efficient processes, including equipment setup, operation, and maintenance, in challenging field conditions. These roles require working in remote and outdoor environments for extended periods

Senior-level position responsible for leading frac operations and overseeing the entire hydraulic fracturing and flowback process. This role requires expertise in frac equipment operation, troubleshooting, and field leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and execution of hydraulic fracturing operations, including rigging up and down of equipment.
  • Oversee and monitor well pressure and flow rates, ensuring the process adheres to safety and operational standards.
  • Lead maintenance and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring all frac equipment functions correctly.
  • Train and mentor junior operators (I and II) on frac operations and safety protocols.
  • Take detailed and accurate records of all frac and flowback data, preparing reports for site supervisors.
  • Ensure environmental regulations are strictly followed, managing spills, emissions, and other compliance factors.
  • Work closely with field engineers and management to coordinate operations and resolve any issues.
  • Independently manage complex operational tasks and adapt to changing conditions.
Requirements:

Skills & Abilities:

  • Perform all duties of Frac Operator II with additional responsibilities for leading frac operations and ensuring team safety.
  • Advanced mechanical and operational knowledge of hydraulic fracturing equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to direct and mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment and operational issues.
  • Expert knowledge of environmental and safety regulations in frac operations.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

  • Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and inspect equipment in various positions.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50-100 lbs and working long hours in extreme conditions.
  • Work in high-noise environments (over 85 dBA) with appropriate hearing protection.
  • Adapt to outdoor conditions, including extreme weather and various terrains.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Training & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of practical experience with flowback, Drill Out & Frac equipment.
  • Leadership experience in field service operations.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional training to be assigned as needed
