Job Description

We're looking for Field Interviewers to conduct interviews with individuals receiving state services to assess their quality of life and satisfaction with services. This project will run through May 2025, starting with a mandatory virtual training during the week of April 1.

Role Overview:
As a Field Interviewer, you will be responsible for conducting semi-structured interviews with adults who are 65+ years old or have a physical disability. These interviews will be conducted either in-person, by phone, or via Zoom, and you will engage with participants from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The core topics for the interviews will include:

Accessing essential services
Communication with providers and case managers
Choice of services and medical transportation
Personal safety and community inclusion

Key Responsibilities:
Organize and manage your own interview schedule
Conduct interviews with empathy, ensuring a comfortable, unbiased environment
Travel to participants' locations (usually their homes) for in-person interviews
Track call outcomes and access participant information via an online file-sharing platform
Manage phone and Zoom video meetings, offering technical support when needed
Record interview results and resolve inconsistencies
Ensure compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and data security
Maintain regular communication with your team
Candidate Requirements:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Zoom and other web-based platforms
Empathy and sensitivity when interacting with individuals with disabilities
Excellent communication skills to build rapport and encourage participation
Access to your own car for travel to participants' homes
A webcam, personal computer, and a secure Wi-Fi connection for contract work
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous research fieldwork experience, especially in interviews or observation
Familiarity with working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or in group homes or day centers
Resilience and sales-minded attitude, able to handle rejection
An interest in professional development, graduate school, or social research careers
Compensation:
Training Payment:
$50 upon completion of pre-training modules
$300 after virtual training completion
$50 after completing skills assessment and mock interview
Per Interview Payment:
$80 for each completed phone interview
$85+ for each completed video interview
$95+ for each completed in-person interview (based on distance from your home)
