Job Description
Stegmeier, Gelbart, Schwartz & Benavente, LLP is a prestigious Family Law firm located in Irvine, California. We are one of the largest and most established Family Law firms in Orange County – our practice has been devoted exclusively to Family Law for more than 25 years. We are currently looking to add another professional to our team of Attorneys. The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for supporting the firm’s Partners with cases from inception to completion. We are looking for someone who is smart, has a strong attention to detail, and can excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborates with other attorneys and provides support to partners legal issues, drafting pleadings and Judicial Council forms, and preparing/organizing discovery responses.
2. Works with paralegal and support staff to ensure that legal documents are ready to produce a finished product for review by the firm’s partners.
3. Possesses the ability to work efficiently and meet, including the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects/cases.
5. Uses good judgment and seeks guidance from partners and senior personnel to ensure work product is finished in a timely manner.
6. Experience and knowledge of procedures for pleadings, discovery, briefs, and trial documents for family law
7. Ability to communicate and work effectively with attorneys, clients, experts and other personnel
8. Ability to work under pressure and to manage demanding caseloads with sophisticated clients
Requirements:
· Must have experience in California Family Law
· Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing with the state bar
· Highly organized and comfortable handling multiple cases
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Education, Experience, and/or Licenses:
· California Bar License (required)
