Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Emergency RN) Junior Level

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse Junior Level provides direct nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent conditions in a fast-paced ED environment. This role is ideal for early-career nurses with 1 2 years of experience who want to build strong triage, stabilization, and emergency care skills while working closely with an experienced ED team.

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients with medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies.

• Conduct triage, prioritize patients based on acuity, and initiate appropriate interventions according to ED protocols.

• Perform focused and head-to-toe assessments, obtain histories, and document vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered, and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects.

• Assist with or perform procedures such as wound care, splinting, EKG acquisition, and specimen collection per competency and policy.

• Participate in emergency responses including codes, rapid responses, and trauma activations, following BLS and ACLS protocols.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR, ensuring thorough charting of assessments, interventions, and patient education.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostics, treatments, admissions, and discharges.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license, or compact license with Arizona eligibility.

• 1 2 years of RN experience; prior Emergency Department, urgent care, or high-acuity acute care experience preferred.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS and/or TNCC preferred per facility policy.

• Foundational ED skills including triage basics, IV therapy, and ECG acquisition/interpretation support.

• Effective communication, customer service, and teamwork skills with a commitment to learning and professional growth in emergency nursing.

• Rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritization in a high-volume emergency setting.

• Basic stabilization and emergency response skills, including support of resuscitation and trauma care.

• Safe medication administration and IV therapy in urgent and emergent situations.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient/family education under pressure.

• Time management, multitasking, and adaptability in a fast-paced ED environment.
