Join Our Team as a Supplier Quality Engineer!

Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch quality in aircraft products? As a Supplier Quality Engineer , you will play a vital role in the Total Quality Management of our suppliers. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards in the aviation industry!

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Evaluate and approve suppliers for Type Certification and Production use.
• Train suppliers on Honda quality requirements and operating systems.
• Conduct audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with Honda and FAA standards.
• Coordinate and verify supplier root cause and corrective action activities.
• Implement improvement plans to ensure suppliers meet quality expectations.
• Support the development of the Supplier Quality Management System.
• Assist in Production Readiness Activities for suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Promote Honda Philosophies in daily activities.
• Travel up to 50% to supplier sites, both domestic and international.

Qualifications and Skills

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in a related Engineering field (preferred).
• Experience with internationally recognized quality systems like AS9100, TS16949, ISO 9001 (preferred).
• Familiarity with FAA Part 21 approved Quality Systems (a plus).
• Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean Sigma methodologies (preferred).
• ASQ CQE or CQA certifications (a plus).

Key Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured by:

• Knowledge of quality tools and processes such as PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PDCA, DMAIC, SPC (preferred).
• Experience managing suppliers of composite structures, metallic structures, and major assemblies (a plus).
• Experience auditing special manufacturing processes like heat treating, welding, and NDT (a plus).
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
