Position Overview The Practice Leader - Power Engineering will lead and manage our power engineering practice, focusing on the development and delivery of innovative solutions in power transmission and utility infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, who can drive the team towards achieving excellence in service delivery while fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage power engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Oversee the design and implementation of transmission systems and utility infrastructure projects.
- Foster relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Provide technical analysis and support for engineering solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for project management and engineering design.
- Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies for projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in power engineering, including renewable energy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in power engineering with a focus on project management.
- Proven experience in transmission systems and utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relations and team collaboration.
- Experience in renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and substation design is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, risk management, and strategic planning.
