Director of Business Development position overview: We are seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development with a proven ability to navigate complex sales processes and build trusted relationships at the executive level. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with experience selling high-value solutions to Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, particularly where long sales cycles and consultative engagement are required. Base pay range


$130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities




  • Develop and execute strategies to secure new enterprise accounts, focusing on executive-level decision makers.


  • Manage long and complex sales cycles, typically ranging from 3 to 12 months, requiring persistence, follow-up, and relationship-building.


  • Create tailored entry strategies for target accounts, aligning offerings with client business objectives.


  • Lead prospecting campaigns to generate qualified opportunities across targeted industries.


  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to craft solutions that align with client needs.


  • Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and business cases to C-suite executives.


  • Maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting, ensuring steady progression through the sales funnel.


  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets through disciplined sales execution and relationship management.

Qualifications




  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.


  • Minimum 10 years of B2B sales experience , with a focus on Fortune 1000 organizations.


  • Demonstrated success in new business development , particularly in selling complex services or solutions.


  • Experience with large-scale sales transactions ($250k+ deal size).


  • Strong track record in managing long sales cycles (612 months typical).


  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives.


  • History of career stability and consistent performance.


  • Compensation history tied to commission-driven performance , with strong results in prior roles.


  • Track record of increasing revenue through proactive lead generation and business development strategies.
