We seek an experienced Director of Government Affairs to manage relationships with U.S. government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders. The role involves advocating for public policies aligned with the company's goals and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement government affairs strategies; serve as liaison with government entities and industry associations; identify policy trends. Advocacy & Policy Influence: Advocate for water-related policies; represent the company in meetings and conferences; build relationships with stakeholders. Regulatory & Legislative Monitoring: Monitor legislative and regulatory developments; advise senior management; prepare comments and position papers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with legal, sustainability, and communications teams; work with external consultants. CSR & Sustainability Engagement: Engage policymakers on sustainability; align advocacy with broader goals. Thought Leadership & Crisis Management: Support Water Solutions initiatives; manage regulatory challenges. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields. Minimum 5 years in government or regulatory affairs; leadership experience preferred. Proven influence on policy at the federal level. Skills & Attributes Excellent communication and political acumen. Strategic thinking and leadership skills. Ability to build relationships with officials and stakeholders. Preferred Attributes Experience in water technology or environmental policy. Established network within government and industry. Location & Compensation Based in Washington, DC.
