Logistics Coordinator Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation and distribution of goods while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of products
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers

Documentation and Compliance

• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and delivery receipts
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations
• Maintain detailed records of all logistics activities and generate regular reports
• Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies

Customer Service

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status and delivery schedules
• Resolve shipping-related issues and coordinate with relevant departments
• Maintain communication with customers throughout the delivery process

Technology and Systems

• Utilize logistics management software and tracking systems
• Maintain accurate data entry in inventory management systems
• Generate reports using various software platforms
• Stay updated on new logistics technologies and recommend improvements

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination
• Experience with logistics software and inventory management systems

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP systems and logistics software platforms
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and customs procedures
• Understanding of transportation modes and freight classifications
