Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Music Teacher to join our team at Little Rainbow Daycare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, with expertise in teaching young children. The Daycare Music Teacher will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging music curriculum that fosters children's creativity, musical expression, and cognitive development.

Duties

- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate music curriculum for children ages Infant - Pre-Kin our daycare program.
- Conduct music classes that incorporate a variety of musical activities, including singing, playing instruments, movement, and listening exercises.
- Introduce children to a diverse range of musical styles, genres, and cultures.
- Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs and interests of each child.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore and express themselves through music.
- Collaborate with daycare staff to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum, such as language arts, math, and science.
- Organize and lead special music events, performances, and concerts for parents and families.
- Maintain a safe and organized music space, ensuring that instruments and materials are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and involvement in the music program.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in music education, early childhood education, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
- Proficiency in playing a variety of musical instruments, including but not limited to piano, guitar, percussion, and ukulele.
- Strong musical skills, including sight-reading, ear training, and music theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to plan and organize lessons effectively, incorporating age-appropriate activities and educational goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children and accommodate changing schedules and priorities.
