Job Description

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a Data Engineer within the Data Analytics team. This role will contribute to all aspects of data integration, data modeling, and dashboard development in pursuit of building and maintaining an enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Dashboards. Ideal candidates will be curious, self-driven problem solvers with strong attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python scripted data ingestion pipelines.


• Build and maintain Airflow DAGs to orchestrate the movement of data.


• Design and build Dimensional Data Models to be run on dbt-core.


• Author and maintain GitLab CI pipelines to test and deploy code changes to production environment.


• Develop and write tests for code quality and data quality.


• Build Dashboards in Apache Superset to help business stakeholders answer questions.


• Perform Ad-hoc data analysis as to help business stakeholders answer questions.


• Participate in code review and contribute to documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.


• Strong SQL and Python skills.


• Experience with modern version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.


• Highly self-motivated to drive projects forward, with strong organizational skills.


• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Ability to work efficiently and independently.


• Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with dbt core in a production environment.


• Experience designing, documenting, and building dimensional data models.


• Experience with writing Airflow DAGs.


• Experience building and deploying CI pipelines within a version control system.


• Experience building dashboards from dimensionally modeled data.


• Experience with Odoo or other ERP/MRP systems.
