You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students, tailoring instruction to their needs. Offer on-demand tutoring requests where you’re available (Instant Tutoring). Utilize the Live Learning Platform for remote tutoring—no commuting required. Work with students matched to your teaching style and expertise. Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to access real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features, helping you save prep time and focus on teaching. Handle tutoring logistics by invoicing for your sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments. Qualifications Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Creative Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation & Benefits Pay rates can reach up to $40/hour with incremental increases for ongoing work with the same student. Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Work remotely using the purpose-built Live Learning Platform.
