We are looking to hire an experienced Controller with experience working in the manufacturing industry.

$130K-175K- DOE

Are you an experienced Controller looking for a new challenge? Immediate opening for a full-time Controller

Locally owned and operated plastic manufacturer, providing custom containers for the packaging industry. As the Controller you will oversee the Accounting team, and the company’s accounting processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures
• Responsible for overseeing the accounting team (two Accountants)
• Monitor accuracy of financial reporting
• Complete account reconciliations
• Research discrepancies and implement corrections
• Prepare financial statements
• Proficient in financial analysis, assist management with forecasting and reporting as needed
• Inventory Auditing
• Collaborate and prepare documents for third party CPA to complete company taxes
• Meet with and communicate with banking partners regarding financial needs of the business. Provide documents to them in a timely manner
• Strategic planning with company management
• Complete reporting for company upper management team
• Evaluate, maintain, and strengthen internal controls and accounting practices
• Identify areas to standardize, simplify, and streamline processes to aid in continuous improvement of the Accounting department
• Complete other office duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

· Experienced in Microsoft Office and ability to use Teams

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

· 5+ years of accounting experience

· Prior supervisory experience

· Strong written and verbal communication

COMPENSATION

• This position with have a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
• This full-time position includes our comprehensive benefit package of Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-term Disability, and 401k plan with match. Company-paid Long-term Disability and Life Insurance, PTO and paid-holidays

HOURS

Hours will typically be 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday, occasional overtime as needed
