Community Education and Activities Studen Intern
Part-time Position
Rate of pay: $15.00 per hour



POSITION SUMMARY
This part-time paid position provides high school students with hands-on experience supporting the Community Education, Athletics and Activities department. Interns will work alongside staff to complete office, program, and event-related tasks while developing leadership, responsibility, and customer service skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES
As an intern, you will always work alongside adult staff. Responsibilities include:

• Perform administrative and clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing program materials.
• Assist Community Education instructors with youth classes, including leading activities, supervising students, and preparing/cleaning classroom spaces.
• Work at athletic events: ticket taker, scoreboard operator, shot clock operator, youth referee, or concessions helper.
• Support coaches and staff with setup, takedown, and game/event management.
• Provide excellent customer service to participants, families, and community members.

QUALIFICATONS

• Current high school student in good standing.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in athletics, youth development, or community programming preferred.
• Must be available for some evenings and weekends.
