You Are Here : Home / Clerk 1- Superintendent of Schools Clerk 1- Superintendent of Schools Ongoing Applications Job Type: Part Time Package: 17.5 hours per week / no Health Benefits Description This clerical position in the Morris County Supt of Schools office focuses on supporting the business office and the day-to-day operations of the office. The successful candidate will work directly with the school districts while assisting with compliance monitoring for the New Jersey Department of Education. This position requires excellent technological, organizational, and communication skills and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. The successful candidate should be a team player with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be self-motivated. The work involves interacting with the public, members of the Education Office and their staff, as well as school employees and their stakeholders. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Communicate with the NJ Department of Education and all school districts in Morris County Prepare time-sensitive state reports and contracts Conduct surveys of school districts Compile and assist with preparation of reports and documents Collaborate on budget preparation Maintain and manage files and records Schedule meetings Assist with other duties of the Education Office and staff Organize and file documents daily Perform general administrative tasks including working with other County departments (e.g. IT) Qualifications Excellent organizational and project management skills Excellent computer skills and advanced proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and work independently Must maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor 1+ years of experience preferred in a customer service role *Please include an updated resume with your application* County of Morris makes all efforts to complete the application accessible to any and all users.
