About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) to spearhead the development and implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives that advance environmental, energy, economic, and social sustainability. The CSO will provide visionary leadership, oversee the effectiveness of sustainability efforts, and ensure measurable results. This role involves fostering a culture of sustainability within the government organization, coordinating with various departments and agencies, and advising elected officials on sustainability matters. The successful candidate will also be responsible for engaging with the public, community organizations, and industry leaders, as well as researching and securing funding for sustainability projects.
