Duration: 6-12 months (Phase 1), with potential for an additional 1-year extension

Job Overview:

Project Support Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced C.A.C Certified Asbestos Consultant to join our team for the Eaton/Palisades Fire recovery efforts. This critical role requires an expert in asbestos assessment, testing, and compliance to ensure environmental safety in fire-affected areas.

Compensation:

 Independent Contractor: $95 per hour

 Employee Option: Salary and benefits package can be discussed if preferred

Requirements

Responsibilities:

 Conduct asbestos surveys, assessments, and air monitoring in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

 Oversee and certify asbestos abatement activities

 Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation

 Coordinate with environmental teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies

 Ensure compliance with safety standards and project guidelines

Qualifications:

 Certified Asbestos Consultant (C.A.C.) – California Certified

 HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (Required)

 Experience in post-fire asbestos assessment preferred

 Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (Cal/OSHA, EPA, AQMD)

 Ability to start immediately and commit to the full contract duration

 Excellent reporting and communication skills
