Position: Business Analyst

Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)

Pay: $75 to $85/hour

Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in Workers’ Compensation insurance projects.

Type: Contract

Conde Group is seeking a Business Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team! Our client is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with specialized expertise in Workers’ Compensation insurance, policy, or claims-driven projects, and enterprise-level business analysis. This role requires strong enterprise-level business analysis skills and a proven track record of mentoring, coaching, and developing other BAs within a Business Analyst Resource Center (BARC). The consultant will divide their time between hands-on project work and structured BA capability development, with approximately 50% of responsibilities focused on coaching, mentoring, and contributing to the creation and enhancement of training materials.

Job Description:

Direct Project Delivery (50%)

  • Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation for Workers’ Compensation and policy or claims-driven initiatives.
  • Translate legislative and regulatory requirements into actionable business and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, business process modeling sessions, and solution design reviews.
  • Develop business process flows, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure alignment of requirements with enterprise architecture, policy or claims, and regulatory mandates.
  • Execute on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and develop training materials on the process.
  • Create applicable templates to streamline the structure process and tasks.

Mentorship and Capability Development (50%)

  • Provide structured mentorship and coaching to BARC analysts.
  • Conduct skills gap assessments and create individualized development plans for BAs.
  • Lead training workshops on requirements gathering, stakeholder facilitation, and BA best practices.
  • Develop and maintain reusable BA templates, standards, and reference materials.
  • Provide real-time coaching during active project work to reinforce learning.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in elicitation and documentation of software business requirements.
  • Ability and knowledge of software testing, development of test cases, test scripts, logging defects, and facilitating UAT efforts
  • Demonstrated experience in policy or claims-driven initiatives and regulatory interpretation.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching business analysts at the enterprise level.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expertise in business process modeling, requirements documentation, and solution design.
