Position Overview:
As a Commercial Solar Salesperson, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new commercial sales opportunities in the solar energy sector. You will engage with business owners, facility managers, and decision-makers to assess their energy needs and propose tailored solar solutions. Your goal will be to build long-term relationships with clients and contribute to the companys mission of promoting sustainable energy practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify and prospect new commercial customers through cold calls, networking, referrals, and lead generation.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with the engineering team to design customized solar energy systems.
  • Present solar solutions to potential clients, clearly explaining the benefits, savings, and incentives associated with solar energy.
  • Close sales, ensuring a smooth transition to the project implementation phase.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, regulations, and incentives to offer clients the most up-to-date information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and after the installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to create compelling sales materials and presentations.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the renewable energy, commercial construction, or electrical industries.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, commercial energy solutions, and renewable energy incentives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and demonstrate a consultative approach to sales.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to travel to client locations and conduct on-site assessments.
  • A background in project management or technical sales is a plus.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
