Barker Pacific Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Property Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of a premier commercial property in downtown Las Vegas, NV. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous commercial property management experience or for an individual with strong transferable skills —such as team collaboration, tenant relations, financial oversight, and facilities coordination—who’s ready to take the next step in their career.

The Assistant Property Manager (APM) plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager , by providing comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance, with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable and accounts payable functions through Yardi Voyager. This position is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and tenant relations within the property.

** This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, particularly in the areas of accounts receivable and accounts payable. **

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Tenant Relations & Customer Service: Manage tenant requests and complaints, maintain positive landlord/tenant relationships, coordinate special tenant events, and ensure a solutions-focused approach to service issues.

Lease & Billing Administration: Maintain lease files and rent rolls; review commercial billing for accuracy; prepare tenant statements (including bill-backs); update stacking plans and expiration schedules; and maintain working knowledge of lease agreements.

Accounts Receivable & Payables: Process daily cash receipts, support collections, gather vendor documentation for Yardi setup, review and code invoices, and ensure accurate financial data entry.

Vendor & Contract Management: Solicit bids, assist with contract awards, maintain knowledge of vendor contracts, and ensure vendor compliance with building standards.

Facilities & Operations Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of the building, grounds, parking facilities, and tenant spaces; oversee janitorial and maintenance activities; coordinate with security supervisors; and ensure life safety systems documentation is up to date.

On-Site Signage & Directories: Maintain tenant directories, suite signage, and approve graphics for tenants and the building.

Reporting & Budget Support: Assist with the annual operating budget, business plan, and monthly financial reporting packages.

Administrative & Property Support: Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and team—including correspondence, filing, supply management—and perform assorted property management duties as assigned.

Must be proficient in the following:

Windows Compatible PC; Software: Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Yardi Voyager is a must, Adobe Acrobat

Skills and Abilities

Analytical, organizational and administrative skills, which include a high level of ability in written and verbal communication and planning. Ability to establish schedules, meet deadlines, and maintain follow-up procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year DOE
