We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our development department in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position with part-time hours (20-30 per week) and potential for ongoing work based on performance. The role is ideal for someone with experience in non-profit organizations and a passion for fundraising and donor relations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage data entry tasks related to donor information, gift entries, and deposits with accuracy.

• Coordinate and schedule meetings, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

• Process invoices and maintain records for financial transactions within the department.

• Follow up with donors to support ongoing fundraising initiatives and relationships.

• Assist in tracking and maintaining donor information using Raiser's Edge.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations across development activities.

• Prepare reports and documentation for fundraising efforts and donor communication.

• Support the department in organizing and executing donor-related events or campaigns.

• Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting practices and procedures.

• Provide general administrative support to the development team as needed.

• Proven experience working in non-profit organizations, particularly in fundraising or development roles.
• Proficiency in Raiser's Edge or similar donor management software.
• Familiarity with fund accounting practices in non-profits.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive donor information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility to adapt to part-time hours with potential for ongoing work.
