About the Internship

As a member of our front office staff, you'll work alongside full-time team members and take on meaningful responsibilities that directly impact the success of the season. Members of the York Revolution Grounds Crew play an integral part in creating the best playing surface in the Atlantic League for both home games and other events at WellSpan Park. They'll apply what they've learned to real game day situations. This includes field preparation, assisting in daily maintenance, and helping deliver a safe, fun, and memorable experience for everyone who walks through our gates. Please note that this position requires regular manual labor as part of the responsibilities.

  • Duration: Approximately March 1 - September 30
  • Compensation: $1000 monthly stipend
  • Eligibility: Must be a recent college graduate. Turf Management student preferred
  • Housing: Not provided, but we will assist interns in finding housing and/or roommates if needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down batting practice equipment, ensuring player safety and proper equipment durability.
  • Assist with field preparation, including lining, mound and plate repair, and infield conditioning to MLB standards.
  • Monitor and manage weather-related situations, including tarp deployment, removal, and communication with staff to maintain safe, playable conditions
  • Support turf management by learning and applying fertility and IPM programs, as well as caring for 1.5 acres of surrounding turf through mowing, trimming, and upkeep.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of field patterns that balance aesthetic appeal with high playability.
  • Perform daily field cleaning and upkeep to maintain professional standards.
  • Assist in scheduling and supervising event staff to support efficient game day and event operations.
  • Clean, maintain, and properly operate groundskeeping equipment to ensure reliable performance.
  • All team members of the York Revolution contribute to event operations, which includes some physical tasks as part of creating the best fan experience possible.
